Andy Laties teaches children to love music, using the creative methods developed by the AACM School.
Andy, a Free-jazz saxophonist and shakuhachi-player (and bookstore owner,) performs regularly with Karl Berger’s Creative Improviser’s Orchestra, and with Direct Action Ensemble. He studied with Alan Silva at Institute for Advanced Cultural Perception in Paris, with Douglas Ewart of the Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians in Chicago, and with Kawase Junsuke of Soke Chikayusha in Tokyo.
