Celebrating the life of Scottish poet Robert Burns at the 257th anniversary of his birth with food, poetry, music and fellowship. Open to all!
The multi-course Scottish meal includes Cock-a-Leekie Soup, smoked salmon and whitefish on homemade oatcakes, boneless prime rib roast, “Tatties and Neeps” (mashed potatoes and mashed turnips) and the centerpiece of a Burns Supper, the traditional Scottish dish Haggis, “piped in” by a bagpipe player and toasted with Burns’ poem “Address to a Haggis.” Dessert is Typsy Laird trifle.
Musical entertainment by Jennifer Johnson, and attendees are welcome to recite a Burns poem if they wish.
Suggested minimum donation is $50 per person with proceeds benefitting First Presbyterian Church of Easton.
