This introductory course focuses on learning how to draw with step-by-step instruction as students learn techniques mainly using graphite pencil. We will also explore drawing with colored pencil, charcoal, and pastels. No experience necessary as this class is perfect for beginners or anyone needing more guidance in the fundamentals of drawing.
What you will learn:

~ Sketching and Drawing techniques

~ Shading and detail tips
We will be working on a collection of exercises and studies for practice throughout the course. Students will be designing their own composition while doing Portrait, Landscape, Still Life, and Illustration subjects. By the end of the course students will have attempted to complete at least one finished drawing of the subject of their choice.
Ages: 14+
Length: 1-1/2 hour session
Meets: Once a week for 4 weeks
Supplies: Basic material kit included. More supplies available for purchase if needed.
