Come spend a fun Sunday afternoon learning the basics of macrame!  In this fun, new Mercantile Home Ec class you will the art of knotting cord or string into patterns to make decorative objects!  We will learn several tying techniques while creating your own wall hanging piece. Participants are encouraged to bring a favorite piece of wood (branch, driftwood, knitting needle, ruler, etc.) to use as their base.   All other materials will be provided. We will also have wooden dowels to use, if you don’t have a favorite piece of wood to use as your base.
