Reading for Resiliency: A Holiday Book Drive to Benefit the Domestic Abuse and Sexual Assault Crisis Center of Warren County (DASACC)
Books comfort, inspire, provide escape, and can heal hearts! This holiday season, we are collecting books to build a library for survivors (and their children) residing at DASACC’s women’s safe shelter in Washington, NJ. As you shop at Book & Puppet, consider purchasing your favorite titles and most -memorable reads to share with a survivor recovering from abuse. Not only will you be building a library, you will be helping women rebuild their lives. DASACC is most in need of adult and YA titles—fun fiction, fantasy, mystery, empowering literature, inspirational stories, laugh-out-loud essays, or any title that uplifts and has made a difference in your own life!

For over 35 years, the Domestic Abuse & Sexual Assault Crisis Center of Warren County has provided services to those who identify as victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. DASACC provides safe shelter, a 24/7 crisis hotline (866-6BE-SAFE), response teams, legal advocacy, counseling, and community education and prevention.
