Award-winning Boston singer/songwriter (and Easton native) Terry Kitchen and New Jersey folksinger Mara Levine will be performing in The Gallery at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 330 Ferry St., Easton on Sunday March 25. The concert begins at 1 PM and there is a suggested donation of $10. Terry and Mara have been performing their unique harmonies together since 2008, releasing a duo EP in 2012 as well as performing on each other’s solo albums, including Terry’s new CD The Quiet Places, which reached #22 on the national Folk-DJ chart. Kitchen’s songs have won the Mid-Atlantic and USA Song Contests and been runner-up in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest. Mara Levine was called “one of the best singers of her generation” by Christine Lavin. Her CD Jewels and Harmony was the #3 album on Folk-DJ for 2013, and her recent single “You Reap What You Sow” was #1 on the Folk-DJ song chart. For their concert they’ll blendĀ songs from their recordings with folk favorites by Paul Simon, John Denver and Joni Mitchell. “Terry Kitchen & Mara Levine blend like honey and velvet.”-Sol Zeller, Borderline Folk Music Club
