A Metaphor explained
Just like whispers and shouts are alike in that they are both extreme forms of communication, they are also quite different. One is very soft and subtle while the other is harsh and abrasive. This sets the stage for a diverse body of work that, either through grouping images or showing the juxtaposition within one, exemplifies this concept. Some are connected by feelings the subjects evoke and others by a defining characteristic. This theme forces a new perspective and accentuates relationships between and within imagery in a new light.

Local Lehigh Valley artist, Yevette Hendler uses photography as her medium even though she doesn’t identify herself as a photographer while creating her art. Although, she does strive for technically correct imagery, the artistic nature of her images is as important if not more so. We are surrounded by so much chaos in our daily lives, and it is important to “Stop a moment, cease your work, look around you.” Her goal is and always has been to make the ordinary into extraordinary.
