The Easton Area Public Library is proud to be serving our community since 1811. Come see our Carnegie Building, built in 1901. The Henry F. Marx Local History Room is a great place to research local history and family genealogy. The Easton Flag, which was flown in downtown Easton at the reading of the Declaration of Independence in 1776, is on display in the Marx Room. The Library offers free Wi-Fi and is open 65 hours per week.

Third Street Alliance for Women and Children, operating in the historic Simon Mansion in downtown Easton, is a nonprofit organization offering a variety of human service programs and services; formerly a grassroots YWCA founded in 1909.
Programs and Activities:
Resident shelter for homeless women with or without children.
Accredited childcare for ages six weeks to 13 years in The Learning Center.
Compassionate adult day care for a fragile population in Sharing the Caring.
Recreational and educational activities, including martial arts, dance, canine training and more.
Rentals of historic rooms and gymnasium for special occasions, meetings, receptions, concerts and other events. (Rental fees vary according to room.)
The Learning Center is a full service child care center, accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and is PA Keystone Star 4 rated, the highest achievable. The center is open year-round from 6AM to 6PM, Monday through Friday. The program includes an individual curriculum in a creative and educational environment, before- and after-programs, transportation to and from area schools, play yard and gymnasium, safety entry locks on every classroom, and a comprehensive summer school-age program. Sharing the Caring is a social day center for older adults facing dementia, Alzheimer’s, stroke recovery or other challenges of aging. The licensed program provides nutritious snacks and lunches, and stimulating activities in a homelike setting. Clients are gently encouraged to participate in crafts and baking projects, exercise, memory enhancement games, music enjoyment, pet therapy and more. Quiet areas are available for those needing time to rest, and personal services can be arranged such as podiatry care and rehabilitation. The shelter for homeless women provides a stable residence during times of crisis from domestic violence, poverty, pregnancy, substance abuse recovery, or mental health and medical issues.
