Call To Artists: Altered Shoes (footwear) Show…

[awl-ter] verb (used with object)

1. to make different in some particular, as size, style, course, or the like;

modify: to alter a coat; to alter a will; to alter course.

2. to castrate or spay. Okay, let’s not go that far…lol!

Do you have a pair of shoes, a single shoe because the mate misteriously disappeared? Are you willing to sacrafice a pair you just love and can’t part with, maybe give it a little facelift, update or a complete re-vamp? Let’s not discriminate here, we like other forms of footwear too…bring on the boot, sneaker or perhaps a slipper? There are no limits as to how far you can take this idea. Just put the creative hat on and go to town!

Come share your work and enjoy other works inspired by the shoe (footwear). This is a show sale, which means, if you would like to sell your work add the price with your submission or if you just can’t part with this new creation, then just show it off and submit as NFS.

Works accepted for this show are up to two pieces in any 2-D (painting, mixed-media), 3-D medium. Perhaps you would also like to incorporate a pedestal if you have that one stray shoe?
