Jack Dickerson was born in 1952 and grew up in Palisades Park, New Jersey. As an undergraduate at Rutgers University, Jack studied improvisational music and psychology. In 1980 he began to paint and earned a master’s degree in Art Therapy and Creativity Development from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. This was followed by obtaining a doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Rutgers Graduate School of Education in 1984. This solo exhibit will allow the display of approximately 25 original works. Since many of Jack’s paintings are large it is usually difficult to display more than one or two in public venues.
