SACRED SIGHTS* showcases photographs of very old structures dating from 1060 AD to modern times. A church located above the Arctic Circle, with its colorful altar painting in Lapp-style art, stands in vivid contrast to a Norwegian Stave church from the 1100s which is 90% original. There is a baptismal font from the 1300s and a modern font in Iceland that resembles glacial ice. This variety of sacred sights evokes a sense of the “faith of our fathers” as well as our own present-day living faith.
