The U.S. Air Force’s jazz band has performed all over the world. On Flag Day 2014, the 17-piece outfit will be in the Easton area, organizers announced today.

The free concert is 7 p.m. Saturday, June 14, said Mayor Sal Panto Jr. and Air Force Staff Sgt. David A. Fatek, a saxophonist in the Rhythm in Blue Jazz Ensemble.

It is planned for the city’s Riverside Park amphitheater on Larry Holmes Drive north of Northampton Street. If it rains, an announcement would be made in the days before the concert that it will move to the auditorium at Easton Area Middle School 7/8, 1010 Echo Trail in Forks Township.

The amphitheater holds 582 people, in addition to lawn seating. The auditorium has 1,500 seats, Panto said. Seating is first-come-first-served, with no tickets.rhythm in blue
