Celebrate the opening of “Vampires, Race and Other Sources of Inspiration,” new work by Anthony Smith, Jr. Using spray paint, oils, acrylics, pen and collage, Anthony fills his canvases and tells a story through each series. This show features a new series titled, “The Deadly Papa Butum,” work on paper inspired by racially charged comments made to the artist, the first painting of a planned new series, and, if we’re lucky, an installation piece developed by Anthony on site!
